Art meets architecture: Lowe Living collaborates with fine artist Antoinette Ferwerda at Hampton Hill
At Lowe Living, we’re driven by a commitment to design excellence, premium materiality, and elevated living — delivered in collaboration with our trusted partners and leading creatives to craft truly unique, enriching homes.
In our latest creative partnership, we are proud to collaborate with celebrated Australian fine artist Antoinette Ferwerda, who brings her visionary concept to Hampton Hill through an exclusive collection of original paintings that celebrate the beauty of Bayside gardens and coastal landscapes. The collaboration began with two commissioned lobby pieces, yet the way Ferwerda’s art captured the coastal character and emotional essence of Hampton Hill prompted a natural evolution, expanding into a thoughtfully integrated, site-responsive series.
From the moment you enter Hampton Hill, defined by minimal, clean lines, you are transported into a serene gallery space. Designed as an immersive journey, the corridor transitions from shadow to light, drawing you through a captivating sequence of artworks that reflect Ferwerda’s deep connection to nature and her local surroundings.
A master of mixed media, Ferwerda’s work explores the rich textures and translucent qualities of organic forms, from blooming flowers to stormy oceanic abstractions. Each painting pulses with wild gestural strokes, technical virtuosity, and emotional resonance, offering a cosmic perspective on the everyday, as if glimpsing nature through a new lens. “I’m constantly inspired by the rhythms of the natural world and my daily coastal surrounds — they find their way into every layer of my work,” says Antoinette.
Natural light pours through expansive glass, visually linking the spine of colourful paintings to the courtyard beyond and creating a seamless dialogue between built form and artistic expression.

For residents, this integration of art and architecture enhances daily life with a uniquely uplifting environment — a home where every space inspires connection, tranquility, and a deep appreciation for Bayside living. This collaboration stands as a testament to how art and architecture can harmoniously converge, enhancing the emotional and sensory quality of a space.
