Created for the Coastal Lifestyle

Renowned for its pursuit of excellence in design and enviable luxury residential developments, Lowe Living continues to deliver with its latest project, Azura Aspendale.
A combination of eight townhomes and 19 apartments, including the Beachfront Collection of 10 absolute beach-facing residences, Azura Aspendale will give residents rare and uninterrupted views of one of Victoria’s most spectacular stretches of beach. Bringing together industry-best partners, the meticulous craftsmanship and unparalleled attention to detail of Azura is something not yet seen in beachside living.

The collaborative effort of Lowe Living with international award-winning design studio GOLDEN, one of Australia’s leading landscape architects Jack Merlo, and renowned team Chamberlain Architects, Azura Aspendale blends coastal sophistication with exquisite architectural design. Lowe Living carefully selects partners, based not only on calibre, but on their experience with location and suitability to the site and Azura Aspendale is no exception.

Focused on celebrating the relationship between architecture, landscape and surrounds, Chamberlain Architects Director Glen Chamberlain says all elements work in unison to create a sense of tranquillity and private sanctuary, nestled beside the beach. “Given the beachside location, we looked towards tropical architectural precedents for inspiration, with the intention to give the development a resort-like feel,” says Glen.

Drawing from modernism examples in Brazil and Asia, the material palette of concrete, red brick and timber, sits in harmony with the coastal landscape. Combining the tranquillity afforded by a spectacular use of light and space, and its carefully crafted floorplans promoting open-plan living and connection to the outdoors, the design of Azura both inspires and enhances the coastal lifestyle.

“Azura will feel quite removed from the outside world and we imagined it to be a place to retreat to every day.”

With Azura’s timeless, coastal and luxurious design, interior-designer GOLDEN has continued to integrate its intuitive understanding of elevating interior spaces to expressions of modern life. GOLDEN’s work is firmly focused on creating intelligent interior spaces drawing from the rich beauty of the natural landscape, and this is non-more evident than at Azura where the design is uniquely refined and effortlessly elegant. “The interior design of Azura is inspired by its location, a sophistication to the aesthetic with an unbuttoned sensibility and an association to the tranquillity of the beach,” says GOLDEN Director Alicia McKimm.

The finishes palette befits the coastal location allowing for a seamless passage from the external to internal.

“The finishes palette is neutral presenting a canvas that allows the residents’ furniture and art collections be complemented rather than secondary.”

Unique touches, such as the custom-designed fireplace with large format chalky limestone, brushed and flamed granite benchtop and light timber tones throughout, compliment the quality materials and premium appliances and fixtures.

As one of Australia’s premier landscape architecture studios, Jack Merlo brings a unique architectural approach to landscape design, focusing on creating spaces that people will appreciate for years to come. At Azura, the renowned landscape architect pays tribute to the coastal location, using lush native plantings and greenery to cohesively link the landscape and architecture. “Our design evokes a coastal feel of the broader suburb, as well as the waterfront location,” says Director Jack Merlo.

In a nod to the Azura’s coastal setting, local and indigenous species feature heavily in the design, while thoughtfully placed plantings add to a sense of privacy, softness and enclosure. Creating outdoor spaces which are useful, functional and an extension of the internal living spaces has worked to further integrate the coastal lifestyle into these homes.

The meticulous craftsmanship and unparalleled attention to detail of Azura, combined with the elite location of pure beach-front living, will present a once in a lifetime opportunity for buyers.
