A morning at Emerald Place brought together art, design and conversation as Lowe Living welcomed Melbourne Art Fair gallery exhibitors, artists and friends to the Skyhome to celebrate our new partnership.

Set within the Skyhome at our newly completed Emerald Place with stunning views of the city skyline, the brunch offered an intimate setting to explore the relationship between art, architecture and the way we live.

The morning centred around a panel discussion on how to start an art collection. The conversation explored what it means to collect art today, from trusting your instinct and finding pieces that resonate, to considering how artwork can be layered to become part of the spaces we live in.

For Lowe Living, the conversation reflects our broader approach to lifestyle and design led development and the role art plays within our projects.

“Art is another layer that shapes the way our spaces come to life and how they’re experienced by our clients,” says Emma Lowe, Co-founder of Lowe Living.

“This partnership gives us an opportunity to explore that in a really meaningful way, while supporting the incredible creative community here in Melbourne.”

As part of the experience, we worked alongside Melbourne Art Fair Director Melissa Loughnan to curate a collection of 30 works from 20 Melbourne-based artists for the Emerald Place Skyhome.

Spanning painting, photography, sculpture and other mediums, the collection was thoughtfully selected to complement the architecture and interiors of the space, while showcasing the breadth of Melbourne’s creative talent.

Together, the panel and exhibition created an opportunity to look at art from different perspectives; not simply as something to place within a home, but as a way to bring personality, style and a sense of connection to a space.

For Lowe Living, this is what makes the partnership with Melbourne Art Fair particularly meaningful. It creates opportunities to bring together different creative perspectives and connect our clients and community with the artists, galleries and ideas shaping Melbourne’s cultural landscape.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the morning, and to the Melbourne Art Fair team, artists and gallery exhibitors who helped bring the experience to life.

Melbourne Art Fair runs from 18–21 February 2027. We will be creating the setting for inspiring discussions in Conversations presented by Lowe Living at Melbourne Art Fair, with more to share around art, design and how they interplay across our projects.

This is just the beginning.
