Miramar, completed project feature
A refined expression of contemporary coastal living, Miramar Sandringham brings together architecture, landscape and lifestyle in one of Bayside’s most prestigious beachfront locations.
Positioned moments from the shoreline at 15 Abbott Street, the completed development reflects Lowe Living’s commitment to timeless design, exceptional craftsmanship and creating homes deeply connected to place.
Inspired by the rhythm of the bay and the relaxed sophistication of Sandringham’s coastal character, Miramar was envisioned as a collection of residences that embrace luxury and longevity. Developed and built by Lowe Living in collaboration with Jackson Clements Burrows (JCB) Architects and Eckersley Garden Architecture, Miramar delivers a carefully curated collection of homes that balance architectural refinement with effortless bayside living.

Lowe Living Co-Founder and Managing Director Tim Lowe explains, “Miramar presented a rare opportunity to create something truly exceptional within one of Melbourne’s most sought-after coastal locations. The site offered an incredible connection to the bay, and from the outset our vision was to deliver residences that felt timeless, sophisticated and intrinsically linked to their surroundings. Every decision was guided by a desire to create homes that residents will enjoy for generations to come.”
Designed by JCB Architects, the architecture responds thoughtfully to its coastal setting through a restrained palette of natural materials, elegant proportions and carefully considered detailing. Sculptural forms and expansive terraces maximise natural light while framing views towards the bay and surrounding landscape.
Director of JCB Architects Graham Burrows says “we wanted to create a building that felt like it inherently belonged here. We looked at the scale, proportions and materiality of the local buildings and reinterpreted these in a clean, simple and contemporary manner so there is immediately a familiarity for people living in the area and a sense of connection to this beautiful coastal environment.”
Inside, the residences are defined by a sophisticated material palette inspired by the tones and textures of the coastline. Natural stone, timber finishes and soft neutral hues create a sense of warmth and calm throughout each home, while thoughtfully designed floorplans prioritise functionality, comfort and flexibility for modern living.
At the heart of every residence, kitchens have been designed as both practical and social spaces. Premium appliances, refined joinery and generous island benches create an environment that encourages connection, whether entertaining guests or enjoying everyday moments at home.
Complementing the architecture, Eckersley Garden Architecture has delivered a landscape vision that strengthens the relationship between built form and nature. Layered planting, curated gardens and generous green spaces soften the architectural edges while enhancing privacy, biodiversity and resident wellbeing.
Principal designer at Eckersley Garden Architecture Scott Leung explains “the overarching vision for the landscape at Miramar was to create an understated garden, something that looks natural. We drew inspiration from neighbourhood gardens and plants, but also from beachside planting to create a coastal feel through the gardens.”
The landscape design creates a seamless transition between the residences and their coastal environment, ensuring every arrival and outlook is enriched by greenery and a connection to nature. Carefully selected planting reflects the character of the bayside setting while creating a sense of permanence and maturity that will continue to evolve over time.
Emma Lowe, Co-Founder of Lowe Living, explains, “Our focus has always been on creating homes that enrich the lives of the people who live in them. At Miramar, every detail has been considered to deliver a sense of comfort, quality and belonging. We wanted residents to feel connected not only to their homes, but also to the surrounding coastal environment and wider Sandringham community.”
“It has been incredibly rewarding to see the vision for Miramar come to life. The collaboration between architecture, landscape and interiors has resulted in a collection of homes that feel both elegant and welcoming. Miramar captures the essence of contemporary bayside living and offers residents a lifestyle that is truly special.”
