At Lowe Living, our unwavering commitment to design excellence and elevated coastal living continues to shape the way we create homes. Marella, our latest project in the heart of Hampton, represents the next evolution of this vision. Comprising a refined collection of thirty two, two- and three-bedroom residences, Marella offers a secluded sanctuary that celebrates the elegance and ease of Bayside living.

Located just moments from the vibrant Hampton Street village and the golden sands of Hampton Beach, Marella captures the essence of its coastal context, balancing serenity and sophistication. Developed and built by Lowe Living designed in collaboration with architecture firm Cera Stribley and landscape architects Plume Studio, this project is an expression of timeless design and enduring quality.

“Marella encapsulates everything Lowe Living stands for – exceptional design, a deep understanding of the Bayside lifestyle, and a meticulous approach to delivering homes that exceed expectations,” says Emma Lowe, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Lowe Living.

Drawing its name from the Italian word ‘mare’, meaning ‘of the sea’, Marella is both a tribute to its setting and a promise of the lifestyle it affords. The architectural direction, led by Cera Stribley, draws inspiration from Hampton’s legacy of coastal Californian bungalows, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. A sculpted façade of warm terracotta, soft cream brick, and burnished metal detailing lends a sense of calm permanence and quiet prestige.

“The architectural direction of Marella is deeply rooted in the character of Hampton – a suburb defined by its strong sense of community and abundant natural landscape,” says Chris Stribley, Co-Founder and Managing Principal of Cera Stribley. “By drawing on its distinctive architectural legacy, Marella pays homage to Hampton’s history while embracing a contemporary evolution of its defining style.”

Internally, each residence has been carefully curated to reflect a lifestyle of effortless refinement. Natural textures, thoughtful joinery, and generous proportions work together to create spaces of warmth and character, where everyday rituals unfold with grace. From morning coffee in the sun-drenched living room to twilight dinners on the terrace, Marella invites residents to embrace moments both quiet and social.

Surrounding Marella, the landscaped gardens designed by Plume Studio extend this sense of connection to the natural world. “The beautiful coastal context, sculptural building forms, and rich, tactile material palette are the key catalysts for the gardens at Marella,” says Heath Blair, Director of Plume Studio. “These elements guide a landscape response that feels grounded in place.”

Positioned within one of Melbourne’s most desirable pockets, Marella offers more than proximity to the beach. From the Bay Trail and nearby sailing clubs to the Royal Melbourne and Victoria golf courses, the location supports a lifestyle enriched by nature, recreation, and community. A short stroll away, Hampton Street hums with local character, offering everything from morning pastries at The Hamptons Bakery to dinner at Bang Bang, or boutique finds at Frankie & Coco and Florist on Hampton.

Marella is a rare opportunity to live in one of Bayside’s most established and beloved suburbs, reimagined through the lens of architectural integrity, thoughtful design, and timeless coastal charm.
