At the core of the Lowe Living offering is our commitment to deliver exceptional outcomes for our valued clients. Every Lowe Living project is the inspired collaboration of our accomplished team with industry leaders in architecture, interior design and construction. We pride ourselves on sharing a vision that inspires us to exceed clients’ expectations on every project.

Lowe Living has recently delivered our latest project Sera Brighton, a sustainably designed development that seamlessly blends with its surroundings and offers an elevated Brighton lifestyle. With Rustica Bakery & Cafe opening soon on the Ground Floor, and only a quick walk to the Dendy Village amenities, this luxurious haven provides the perfect balance of convenience and tranquillity, while paying homage to the existing building’s architectural identity.

Preserving the essence and tradition of its historical site, Sera, Latin for ‘lock’, showcases a building that celebrates arched forms and superior craftsmanship to unlock the potential for contemporary Brighton living.

Lowe Living partnered with acclaimed architecture firm, Warren & Mahoney, to deliver a boutique and architecturally designed building that showcases 13 luxury apartments. Focusing on the site context and history, Warren & Mahoney designed the building’s three-tier podium façade emphasising the striking geometry of the arched design program, as textured white brickwork, bronze framing and smooth concrete balustrades combine to communicate the visual artistry at play.

Nick Deans, Principal, Warren & Mahoney, explains “this is the first development of its kind on this street – so we were very aware of the responsibility of setting the tone for future projects. With this in mind, we focused on a soft and tonally layered palette with a warm mineral quality.”

Tim Lowe, Founder and Managing Director of Lowe Living shares, “sophistication and sensitivity to the site’s legacy, is a powerful driver behind every Lowe Living project. Sera Brighton’s inspired fusion of historical architectural form with refined interiors fully responds to the exclusivity and splendour of its iconic location.”

Bec Judd was engaged as the interior consultant on the project, to bring her unique style and eye for interior design to the interiors. Working closely with Lowe Living, Bec delivered a signature joinery, materials and finishes package that enhanced the floorplans. “I wanted to design interiors that were uniform, inviting, textural and of a sophisticated yet relaxed vibe,” Judd said.

“Warm, neutral tones with a complementary mix of stones, timbers and tiles really elevate the spaces to feel luxe yet welcoming, sophisticated but unpretentious.” Bec has selected a timeless Tundra natural stone that hails from Turkey as the feature stone throughout the interiors, accompanied by soft timber detailing and in-built feature joinery with custom profiled doors and a premium finish. Curved timber lines intersect with the sharp mitred stone edges to create the perfect balance of crisp, clean lines, and curvilinear forms.

Engineered oak timber flooring adds timeless character at Sera Brighton, whilst indulging in the ultimate culinary experience with natural stone benchtops, oak-toned cabinetry, and energy-efficient Miele appliances. “The exterior arched detail is subtly repeated internally with the use of a curved leg on the kitchen island, curved joinery elements, a feature arch-like stone handle on the living unit joinery and a gorgeous dome-shaped wall light,” said Judd.

Renowned landscape architect Jack Merlo worked closely with Warren & Mahoney and Lowe Living to ensure there was an effortless transition from living zones to outdoor spaces, to provide the perfect opportunity for relaxation and entertaining. Bringing a unique architectural approach to landscape design, Jack Merlo has developed a landscape scheme at Sera to complement the clean architectural lines and full-height doors that spill out to courtyards and secluded balconies, extending the living experience. “The expansive glazing provides beautifully landscaped backdrops to internal spaces,” says Director, Jack Merlo, “planting schemes provide contrasting foliage forms and seasonal flowering, selected for their hardiness and moderate watering requirements”.

The lifestyle-focused location of Sera Brighton offers local amenities within walking distance. Alongside the amenities of Dendy Village, Church and Bay Streets, Brighton Beach is only a short drive away and completes Sera Brighton as a building that matches its location for ambition and luxury.
